Our feet often suffer a lot of wear and tear due to walking, running, or jogging, and thus, they too require some care. Pampering your feet becomes very essential. This article will teach you step-wise how you can pamper your feet easily at home without rushing to a salon.

5 Easy Steps on How to Do Pedicures at Home

Step 1 – Trim nails and remove paint

The first step you need to follow is to trim your nails neatly. After trimming, give them a decent shape with a nail file. If your nails have nail paint on them, then remove them. Do not cut your nails too deep because they can hurt later on.

Step 2 – Soak and remove dead skin

The second step is giving your feet some relief and having a foot bath. Soak your feet in a tub full of lukewarm water to easily remove the dead skin. The water should be enough to cover your ankles. If you have bath salts, then put them in the water and if not, then put 2 spoons of normal salt in warm water. Add in your favourite oil for better feels. Allow your feet to rest in the water for a maximum of 20 to 25 minutes.

Step 3 – Scrubbing

The next step is taking them out and wiping them. Scrubbing is the next important step. Exfoliating your feet is highly beneficial. Do not scrub hard because this might worsen your foot condition. Slow scrubbing of feet helps in removing the dead skin cells and helps in treating dry feet.

Step 4 – Moisturizing

Scrubbing removes the deposited dirt and the dead skin cells to a great extent. The next important step is moisturizing. It helps to retain their beauty, and softness, and eliminate dryness. Moisturizing gives the essential hydration and treats cracked skin.

Step 5 – Foot massage and apply nail paint

The most important step of a pedicure is the foot massage. It helps in releasing muscle tensions, smooths blood circulation, and ensures an active nerve-ending stimulation. It helps in giving the feet the right amount of required relaxation. After massaging the feet, paint your nails with your favourite colour. Always apply a base coat before applying nail paint to reduce the nail damage due to the present chemicals that make the nail yellow. Let the nail paint dry for some time and now you are good to go.

Conclusion

We all know the struggle women face to keep their feet healthy and beautiful. Often, saloon sessions are costly and time-consuming. Many times proper customer satisfaction is not attained. But these easy pedicure steps will help you to do your pedicure at home without much stress, and if followed correctly, they will guarantee you glowing and happy feet.
