The Something Store – Joy of surprise

Its peculiar name itself describes the main idea behind this startup.  Founders of “Something Store” thought of the concept, that if everything can be sold on the internet, then why not we could sell “something”. Most of you would have laughed on the silliness of this idea. But this became successful soon after its launching.

This bizarre concept involves a surprise box. Customers have to pay $10, and in return they receive something. Free shipping and brand-new things worth at least $10 attracted many customers. Box can contain any piece of art, rare book, party game, handmade necklace, reverse clock, box of gourmet chocolates, video game, portable table tennis set, pashmina scarf, set of kitchen knives, pair of handmade earrings, garden tool, kitchen appliance, unique home decor item, electronic equipment, fine crafting tool or an office supply item etc. It is restricted to the United States only.

Prize Candle

Everyone loves to receive the candles as a gift. But founders of Prize Candles did something unique. They deliver candles but with a twist that each candle contains a ring. This ring can be accessed only by the customer after burning the candle. Moreover, a candle has a prize code. If the customer has a winning code, then he will be guaranteed with a ring worth $5,000.

This twist attracted many customers to this startup. People started buying candles both to gift someone and for personal purchases.

ReGlobe

Nakul Kumar and Mandeep Manocha are masterminds behind the idea of ReGlobe. Who can thought that a waste electronic device could get us some money? Yes, you read it right!! A mobile handset which is now waste for you can fetch you a good sum. All you need to do is to answer some questions such as the model number, date of purchase, defects, the physical condition of the electronic device etc. By this, they will analyse the worth of the gadget and take that device right from your doorstep. Isn’t that great?!

This is an e-commerce site, where they buy then sell the device to the local professional buyers who revamp the device and sell the same in the second-hand market. Their network has expanded to more than 30 cities as of now.
