Curry leaves scientifically known as Murraya koenigii Spreng and belongs to the Rutaceae family, has many benefits due to its antioxidant properties. The plant is vernacular to India and is found abundantly in tropical and subtropical regions.

It is also grown in various other countries such as China, Australia, Nigeria, and Ceylon. The height ranges from small to medium. Leaves, roots and its bark are the utilitarian part of the plant. Kadi patta is a staple in Indian dishes. Curry leaves help in the reduction of bad cholesterol levels. They are packed with anti-oxidants which prevents the oxidation of cholesterol that forms bad cholesterol. This phenomenon in turn increases the level of good cholesterol in the body and protects the body from conditions like heart attack and atherosclerosis.

It helps in fighting the cells which damage the free radicals in the body as it the cause of most illnesses and protects the body from any health problem.
